New Delhi | October 13, 2026
HCLTech reported a 21.2% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹5,132 crore for the July–September quarter of FY2026–27. Revenue rose 11.5% to ₹35,620 crore, according to the company’s quarterly results released on October 12.
Key Q2 numbers
- Net profit: ₹5,132 crore, up 21.2% year on year.
- Revenue: ₹35,620 crore, up 11.5% year on year and around 3% sequentially.
- Operating margin: EBIT margin reached 18.2%, according to reporting on the results.
- FY27 outlook: HCLTech revised its revenue-growth guidance to a range of 2.5%–4%, as reported by Business Standard.
The results were supported in part by revenue from advanced artificial-intelligence services. At the same time, the wider Indian IT services sector faces cautious client spending, software-sales pressure and questions about how generative AI will change traditional services demand and pricing.
Why the results matter
HCLTech’s quarter offers a view into how large IT-services companies are trying to expand AI-related work while protecting margins in a changing technology market. Investors and customers will be watching deal bookings, demand for core software services, the pace of AI adoption and management’s outlook for the remainder of the financial year.
One quarter does not establish a lasting trend. Actual performance may differ from guidance as customer spending, foreign-exchange movements and competition evolve. This report is informational and is not investment advice.
